Buckhead Commonwealth Club Homeowners' Association (HOA) is a private homeowners' association and planned community, located in Richmond Hill, Georgia. The Association has been in existence since its incorporation as Buckhead Commonwealth Club, Inc. with the Secretary of State of Georgia on December 6, 1993. The master planned community was developed by Richmond Hill Land Company but is a separate entity from the Developer/Declarant.

Buckhead Commonwealth personifies graceful southern family living. Comprised of a variety of neighborhoods known as Buckhead Estates, Windsong, Princeton, Laurenburg and Cambridge, Buckhead Commonwealth offers a little of something for everyone. Visit the gallery.

The Association encompasses approximately 272 acres and features a large recreational park that includes baseball/soccer and football fields, a swimming pool and pavilion, tennis courts, basketball courts, bicycle trails, children's playground and acres of unspoiled open space.

Recreational amenities are reserved for the use of residents and their guests. A "Repair and Replacement" fund is maintained for long term growth and improvements of the amenities offered.

Committee Information

Design Review Committee:

The DRC committee is made up of your fellow neighbors and homeowners. We are a group of people who are willing to help you with any changes in your property provided that the covenants that you signed are followed. A detailed description is required and the committee must approve your request within 45 days. Most plans are approved, sometimes with some restrictions, but we are ready to help you any way we can. Buckhead Pool Key Conditions

Covenant Highlights:

DISCLAIMER: This document is a synopsis of some of the most commonly misunderstood covenants. This is not an all inclusive document of all the covenants pertinent to Buckhead. Please refer to your covenant documents given to you by the attorney at closing. The covenants are also posted (above) on this website.

Architectural Control (DRC)
DRC approval is required for all construction or modifications to any building, wall, dock, walkway, sign, sign post, driveway, fence, mailbox, screening device, swimming pool, pier, or other structure. The DRC requires a written request for all projects. The DRC form is available at www.buckheadhoa.com. The DRC has 45 days to respond.

Pets
All animals must be confined to their owner’s lot, unless walked on a leash. Wandering animals will be reported to animal control for capture and detainment and may result in fines being charged to the owner by both Animal Control and Buckhead HOA.

Satellite dishes
The DRC must give approval prior to installation.

Parking (boats, auto’s, trucks, motorcycles, RV’s, etc. and disabled vehicles)
Automobiles, trucks & motorcycles must be parked in garages, on driveway area or on parking pads (driveway and parking pads are paved concrete areas on owner’s lot). Boats, RV’s., trailers of any kind, buses ,commercial vehicles and motorhomes are not allowed to be parked on owner’s property, Buckhead common areas or on any streets unless they have obtained a temporary parking permit from the Board of Directors. The parking permit form is available at www.buckheadhoa.com. Disabled vehicles are allowed 48 hours parking. After 48 hours, they must be in working order or they must be removed from the property by other means.

Plants and Trees
No trees or shrubbery on a lot may be cut-down or disturbed without approval from the DRC.

Mailboxes
Mailboxes must match the original design and color of the development's mailboxes.

Golf Carts
Golf carts must comply with all State of Georgia and Bryan County applicable laws and ordinances. Carts are not permitted on the walking /jogging paths. Drivers of carts must have a valid driver's license.

Easements and Drainage
No structures may be placed within or on an easement area. No easement intended for the purpose of drainage may be altered in a manner that will modify drainage flow. Owners may not dispose of debris into the drainage areas.

Fences
All fences must be approved by the DRC. Materials and color, height, distance between fence and property lines, and distance permitted between fence and easements all vary depending on the Buckhead section. Please see the covenants for your section.

Signs (yard sale and for sale)
Signs are not allowed to be placed on any Buckhead common areas, this includes the front entrance.

1.) How can I contact an HOA board member?

2.) When and where are the HOA meetings?
Meetings are usually the last Monday of the month at the pool, check website calendar for changes.

3.) Where can I get a copy of the minutes?

4.) Where can I mail HOA correspondence?

5.) Who do I mail my dues to?

6.) Do I need to contact the HOA if I am selling my house?
Yes, the closing attorney must contact the HOA treasurer for a statement of dues payment.

7.) Why do I have to pay my dues if I am selling my house?
All dues not paid will accrue late fees. When you sell your house, the attorney will prorate your dues and you will receive a refund.

8.) Where can I get a copy of the Buckhead covenants?
If your attorney didn’t give you a copy at the closing, you can get them on this page.

9.) Where can I get a DRC form?

10.) When does the pool season open/close? What are the hours?
The pool opens when the Bryan County school system is on spring break and closes around the end of September. The pool hours vary, generally from 7 am to 10 pm.

11.) Where can I get a pool/tennis key?
Download the pool key form, complete it and contact the HOA president.

12.) Why doesn’t my key work?
You may not have signed a pool key form or you have unpaid dues/fines.

13.) I lost my key, where can I get another one? Can I have an extra key?
Contact Holly Vandegrift (756-8488), and yes, there will be a charge, currently $20.00.

14.) How can I reserve the pool area for a party?
Check the calendar for an open date, download a reservation form, complete it and mail it. Please note that residents will still be allowed access to the pool for their own enjoyment during your reservation time.

15.) How can I reserve the baseball/soccer field?
Call Steve Rogers at 572-3253.

16.) What do I do if I see a street light out?
Call Coastal EMC at 884-3311.

17.) What day is trash removal?
Currently, it is on Tuesdays.
